I just got an orange jade bracelet. How do I if it’s real jade or just glass?
I just want to know if I got ripped off or not… Someone once told me that if you tap a real piece of jade, it should make a sharp ‘tink’ sound, but doesn’t glass do that too?
real jade changes from a lighter green to darker. If you look hard you will see a swirl patter, this typically indicates jade.
Also, obviously, just taking it a jewelery shop will allow them to check.
When they check, they look through a microscope or magnifying glass for bubbles.Real Jade has no bubbles, but glass will.
